I Tested 4 AI Tools for 3D Motion Graphics — Only One Actually Got It Right
Project description
Four AI tools. One script. The same Eiffel Tower construction brief given to every one of them — and the results were nowhere near equal. I tested Gemini with Google Flow and Omni 3, Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3, and ChatGPT as a prompt-writing base model, to answer one question: which of these can actually produce 3D motion graphics, not just 3D video? The difference matters. Motion graphics needs clean animated text, correct material texture, and a sense of motion flow. Most of these tools fail on at least one of the three. WHAT I FOUND • Gemini + Omni 3 through Flow — the strongest for true motion graphics, especially once you feed it static images as ingredients • ChatGPT as the base model — better topic understanding, better isometric 3D detail, but the text disappears entirely • Seedance 2.5 — built for realistic video, not motion graphics. Text fully distorted, elements vanishing mid-shot • MiniMax H3 — clean animation, but materials read as plastic and the motion lacks energy The winner depends on what you're making, and I explain exactly when to pick each one at the end. I also show the prompt-batching workflow — breaking a 40-second concept into 10-second generation batches, then stitching them in After Effects. I test where AI genuinely helps a motion designer — and where craft still decides the result.
