Snitch
web

Project description

Snitch is a website with no human in the loop, and a demonstration of what hyperpersonalisation looks like once AI does the work. No two visitors ever see the same page, and the page you see today is not the one that existed last week. For fifteen years, websites have improved at the speed of a meeting: ship, wait weeks for analytics, argue, file a ticket, rebuild. Chatbots sped up drafting and coding agents sped up pull requests, but a person still approves every change, so the loop still runs at human speed. Snitch takes the person out of the loop. It runs on two clocks. The fast clock ticks on every request. Your browser hands over about fifty readings (screen, GPU, battery, fonts, connection, local weather, how you scroll, what you linger on), and the server writes each section for you alone, then forgets you. Like a close-up magician, the page works only with what you brought and never explains the trick. Every claim links to its receipt in the drawer beneath it. The slow clock ticks every four hours. A Claude Code agent reviews what every visitor did, picks one improvement, verifies it and ships it to production with no approval step. Each run is logged at the foot of the page with before-and-after screenshots, its cost and its reasoning. Runs that changed nothing are logged too, and that restraint is why you can trust the ones that did. The site is the argument. On it, a figure traces five eras of web building, and the last panel is the site itself. It begins with a consent door where refusing weighs exactly as much as agreeing, and ends with a dossier built from whatever your browser autofilled, a song written for you, a verdict on who you are, and a button that erases all of it. Pixel type on near-black, one orange accent, your device drawn as tiles and your sky rendered from your own weather.
