ST-01 | A multifunctional desk object designed as a break in between tasks.

Project description

ST-01 is a modular spinning top designed as a small interaction object for the desk. Made from anodised aluminium, it separates into individual components that can be clicked, flipped, reassembled, or attached to metal surfaces. The form stays minimal while the interaction changes depending on how it’s handled. When assembled, ST-01 is a spinning top capable of spinning for over 2 minutes. The project explores how simple physical gestures can re-enter the workday. Instead of adding complexity, the focus is on tactile feedback, repetition, and material presence. Compact in scale, solid in weight, and built for constant handling, ST-01 shifts between movement and stillness without instructions or defined use.
