Project description

Back in 2022, I had the pleasure of working on this interactive data visualization for the Global Campus of Human Rights. The United Nations Global Study on Children Deprived of Liberty covers 195 countries, six thematic areas, 20 recommendations, and hundreds of data points per country. The brief was to make all of that navigable without losing the weight of what it actually is. The result: a dual-mode experience with a custom 3D globe and a flat map view. Selecting a thematic area filters the globe, clicking a country surfaces detention figures, promising practices, and source references. A fun and interesting one, and a pro bono at that. with wild
