Interactive Editorial Gallery with Ratchet-Like Scrolling [SOUND ON]
Project description
Ratchet Scroll Gallery is an experimental editorial-inspired interactive gallery exploring tactile motion systems, ratchet-like scrolling, and endless looping transitions. Built with Claude Code and Figma MCP, the project began as an exploration of how a work archive could feel less like navigating a website and more like interacting with a precise visual mechanism. A significant part of the process focused on refining the interaction system itself, including ratchet-like scrolling, momentum and soft-lock behavior, endless looping transitions, responsive focus brackets, motion timing, and sound design. The goal was to create a scrolling experience that feels precise, mechanical, responsive, and almost physical, as if controlling a weighted visual object rather than browsing a conventional interface. The gallery can be explored through scrolling, dragging, direct clicking, and keyboard controls, with each input method designed to maintain the same tactile feel and interaction language throughout the experience. Designed in Figma. Built with Claude Code + Figma MCP.
