HELP EVER HURT NEVER | Album Redesign

Project description

HELP EVER HURT NEVER is a physical album redesign project developed for an academic design course. The project reimagines Fujii Kaze’s debut album through a more tactile and visual interpretation of his lyrics, focusing on four selected songs: Yasashisa, Mo-Eh-Wa, Sayonara Baby, and Kaerou. Originally released in 2020, HELP EVER HURT NEVER carries a message of compassion — to help, not to hurt. Beneath its calm and soulful sound, the album moves through deeply human emotions: kindness, letting go, farewell, and the quiet acceptance of death. Rather than treating the album as a conventional music package, this redesign translates those emotions into a fragile physical object. The visual direction is built around the image of a blurred house — a place that feels familiar, but can never be seen clearly.
