Animal Welfare Laws with Chintu & Pintu India has 21+ laws protecting stray animals, stray dogs can't be relocated, abandoning a pet is a crime, and compassion toward animals is even a constitutional duty. Yet almost no one knows this. Our research across shelters, neighborhoods, and vet hospitals revealed the real gap: not the legislation, but the medium. This project translates dense legal text such as PCA 1960, ABC Rules 2023, BNS S.325, Article 51A(g) into an illustrated book, zines, and posters for self-reading students aged 9+. Two original characters, Chintu & Pintu, and a color-coded visual language turn 21 laws into something anyone can finally read and remember.
