What We Carried Away is a traditionally illustrated picture book exploring the quiet grief of a friendship that faded not from conflict, but from imbalance — when one person gives endlessly, loses themselves in the process, and the love they offered keeps living on in someone else, long after the goodbye. Created as part of coursework guided by Prof. Shilpa Ranade, the project extends beyond the book itself into a visual narration alongside a set of postcards inviting readers to reach out to someone they've been meaning to call.
