kott.io — real-time effects in the browser

Project description

kott.io is a real-time effects studio that takes a webcam feed, a video file or an image. The chain runs five stages: the frame comes in, on-device segmentation cuts the subject out, effects stack so each one runs on the output of the one above, MIDI and audio move the parameters while the canvas plays, and the frame leaves as a file or a projector feed. 208 effects, drawn on a GPU canvas at 60fps, with still export up to 8K. It runs in any modern browser and as an offline macOS app. Nothing is uploaded; the frames never leave the device.
