No titleFAUVE — Brand Identity
Project description
FAUVE is a premium specialty coffee and tea room located in the heart of Vincennes, designed to offer a highly curated tasting experience. Merging the exacting culture of specialty coffee with the refined art of tea, the venue caters to a local, urban, and detail-oriented clientele. FAUVE’s value lies in its ability to transform the traditional neighborhood coffee shop into a statutory, architectural space where exceptional raw materials meet a warm, contemporary atmosphere. It bridges everyday local life with a structural, timeless design approach. Palantis — Brands was appointed by the founders of FAUVE to lead the creation of its complete brand identity from the ground up. The strategic objective was to extract the brand from the traditional, ephemeral codes of fast-casual dining and elevate it to the rank of an enduring, premium institution. In this context, our role was to build a cohesive visual system capable of seamlessly integrating with the physical interior architecture while conveying a sense of authority, elegance, and local grounding across all touchpoints. At the core of the mission was an in-depth process of typographic engineering and visual structuring. We conceived and designed the entire brand ecosystem, starting with a custom-drawn logotype built upon a strict modular grid. The primary challenge was to balance brutalist architectural geometry with an organic, welcoming feel. This was achieved by developing a raw, monolithic feline emblem that leverages negative space with surgical precision, paired with a carefully curated earthy color palette—deep espresso brown, muted taupe, luminous cream, and elegant olive green. This comprehensive approach ensured a seamless, high-end visual experience, translating a distinct conceptual vision into clear, structured, and impactful physical applications. Services provided Branding Art Direction Typography Packaging About Palantis Independent studio designing rigorous and scalable identity systems. We reject surface design for strategic depth.
