BoMA — Backrooms of Modern Art [Looking for artists]
Project description
Side project I'm working on until I can share more about a bigger project in progress (with a light theme for once). I wanted to do an art exhibition gallery, but since I tend to watch too many movies and play video games, I thought "why not mix both?". So here comes BoMA, the Backrooms of Modern Art. Looking for a few artists to be part of the current concept, form's linked below. Inspired by the MoMA and my recent dive into indie films, with a nod to the Backrooms (if you grew up around late-90s liminal spaces you know the feeling) and Obsession. It'll be on desktop and mobile, and if it grows, each level gets its own art direction, sound and mechanics (sci-fi, medieval, that kind of thing), "maybe" even a monster to escape from for the horror thrill. The name refers to the first level, level 0 (of the Backrooms), the MVP. Anyway, BoMA mixes art exhibition and a bit of gamification to help people discover artists. In the MVP, you find artworks as you play, reach the exit, and get a reward the artist chose: a discount on prints/tattoos/whatever they sell, a private tease of their next piece, or a link/group only their closest fans get into (got another idea? fill the form!). If you're an artist* or know one who might be interested, you can fill the form to be part of the current concept. It's got all the questions and guidelines, and it helps me narrow down how the project might evolve around featured artists' needs. (*illustrator, tattoo artist who does prints, painter, or something along those lines for now.) Application form (5-10 mins): https://forms.gle/3fK6ULeQ92y44Qx28 Note: The form asks for a bit of detail to ensure alignment on vision and commitment. Answers don't need to be final polished proposal, just honest thoughts!
