Milo Café —Vietnamese Café, Strasbourg [Concept]
Project description
Redesigned a real Vietnamese café's website as a speculative concept: Milo Café, Strasbourg. My favorite place to sip (countless) drinks and have desserts while I'm devouring my books. Their site was a generic WordPress template that didn't show any of what makes the place worth visiting. Rebuilt it around the actual brand: the traditional Phin coffee culture, their in-house matcha sub-brand (Matcha Club), and a motion system built on one governing idea: gravity and liquid, pacing slowly. It captures the essence of Vietnamese cafés, cozy and peaceful, a place beyond time, to contrast with the dense city traffic and bustling street life that feel visually hectic and energetic to visitors (if you have visited Vietnam, you know what I mean).
