A11Y.md is an open source context file that teaches the AI you already use — Cursor, Claude, Copilot — to build accessible interfaces from the very first line, following WCAG 2.2. Version 2.0 was shaped by the project's own preregistered, placebo-controlled studies: contrast is now computed by deterministic tooling at the moment a palette is born, Brazil's NBR 17225 norm is mapped into the compliance profiles, and a pioneer guide covers automatic sign-language translators — including where an avatar must give way to a human interpreter.
