Project description

With the Agrumea brand identity in place, we moved on to packaging. The brief was four distinct jar lines. We started with Salati, the savoury one, which the client wanted to feel more premium than the rest. The line has four products: Caponata Siciliana and sweet-and-sour onion (Cipolla in agrodolce), both antipasti, and two pestos, Pesto Rosso (to dress pasta or use on bread) and Pistachio Pesto (Pesto di Pistacchio, to dress pasta). All labels are printed on a slightly metallic paper. We reused the fruit and vegetable texture system created for the identity, bringing each product’s ingredients onto its label as a background texture. Each label is split in two. The upper part carries the texture and the logo. The lower part is filled with a solid colour and carries the product name. A thick foil line separates the two, bronze for Cipolla in agrodolce and Pesto Rosso, silver for Pesto di Pistacchio and Caponata Siciliana. The same foil is used for the logo. The client also asked that every flavour be recognisable from the cap alone, to make distribution and pallet handling easier. The product name runs around the lid in the same foil colours, and the farmer, the brand’s symbol, sits at the centre in raised UV. We also handled the photography for the website and day-to-day communication.
