Polecat concept #1
Project description
The "Everything to Build Anything" concept was inspired by the fact that Polecat doesn’t rely on a specific tech stack. Instead, they actively embrace and enjoy solving unconventional challenges. The homepage embodies the company’s philosophy with a manifesto set in the sharp grotesque Diatype Condensed by Dinamo Typefaces. The manifesto’s key points are substantiated by facts, revealed on a secondary layer when hovering over accented words (set in Syne by Bonjour Monde, Lucas Descroix, and George Triantafyllakos). The infinite scrolling of the manifesto reinforces the idea of "everything," while the inner pages and project case studies open as windows over the homepage, serving as a metaphor for "anything." For messaging, we used "Everything to Build Anything" as an internal name for the concept. However, since the rhyme "everything / anything" has already been featured in campaigns by companies like Squarespace ("Everything to Sell Anything") and Netlify ("Connect Everything. Build Anything"), we explored alternative lines and slogans to create a more distinctive identity. Proposed options included "Ideas Pioneering — We Engineering" and "Your Vision, Our Precision." While this idea wasn’t chosen as the main concept, it found its place on the page about the agency within the winning concept, "Polecat Island".
