Designing for an AI content tool comes with an interesting constraint: the interface has to feel fast without feeling rushed. This flow tackles the moment right after "Create Content" is clicked, and it's built around two screens that had to work together as one continuous decision. The popup does one job only: get the user to pick a content type before anything else happens. Three options, one clear selected state, and a "Continue" button instead of auto-advancing- small detail, but it means the user commits to a choice rather than accidentally tapping into the wrong flow. From there, the create screen splits into two halves that talk to each other. The left panel is where the thinking happens: a prompt field, tone chips, a content goal, and optional keywords. The right panel is a live Instagram post preview, empty at first, but it's there from the start so the user always knows what they're building toward, not just what they're filling in. Visually, I kept the sidebar and top bar identical to the dashboard on purpose. Nothing about switching into "create mode" should feel like leaving the product: same orange accent, same card language, same breadcrumb pattern so the user's always oriented. The generate button is the one loud element on the page; everything else stays quiet so it doesn't compete for attention. This one was a good reminder that AI tools live or die on perceived speed, and sometimes that's less about animation and more about just showing the user exactly where their input is headed.
